2:19 a.m.: Motor vehicle violation and arrest, Main Street. Police reported that they initially stopped a vehicle for speeding. After, they found that the vehicle was revoked for no insurance. Additionally, they reported that they found heroin in the car and arrested Yolanda T. Vega, 26, of Holyoke, and charged her with possession of a class A drug.

10:38 a.m.: Motor vehicle accident, Mechanic Street. Police received a report of a possible past hit and run accident that occurred at a home on Mechanic Street. The owner of the vehicle that was hit stated that the damage was severe enough to not allow her to open one of her doors. Police had no suspects but did receive a report of a party at a nearby home the night prior.

3:44 p.m.: Shoplifting and arrest, Wal-Mart, Springfield Road. Police received a report that Wal-Mart had two people in custody and requested police. It was reported that the two parties, Hamariz Baerga-Rivera, 23, of Springfield, and Lisbeth Torres-Garcia, 27, of Holyoke, were allegedly caught after filling a cart with $719.16 worth of items and walking past the registers. They were arrested and each were charged with larceny over $250 and conspiracy.

5:21 p.m.: Suspicious activity, Meadow Street. Police received a report that a couple was held up at knife point in the area of one of the stores on Meadow Street by a male party. Police reported that one of the two that were being allegedly held at knife point said that he pushed the male with the knife and the couple went into the store. Police did not report any items being taken and reported no injuries. Police found a suspect matching the description and questioned him, but no arrests were made.

8:58 p.m.: Breaking and entering, Union Mart, Union Street. Police received a report from a caller who reported that it appeared that someone broke into the Union Mart. Police were told that someone went into the store after allegedly throwing rock into the front door window. An individual went into the store and then came out, and entered a dark-colored vehicle. Police gave a description out of the vehicle but no arrests were made at the time of the report.
