Major crime and incident report

Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016.

11:01 a.m.: Larceny, Stanley Park. Police received a report of a stolen bronze plaque at Stanley Park. The value was placed at $500 to $600. No suspects or witnesses at the time of the report. Upon later investigation by Stanley Park personnel, the plaque was found behind a pile of mulch that was put there by landscaping crews. No crime.

12:39 p.m.: Burglary and breaking and entering, Susan Drive. Police received a report of a cargo trailer that was broken into sometime overnight at a residence on Susan Drive. Police found that several tools were stolen, which totaled over $2,500. Additionally, it was reported that the tools were too large for one person to take, so it is suggested that more than one person committed the theft. No suspects at the time of the report.

11:59 p.m.: Motor vehicle accident, East Main Street. Police received a report of a white Ford Bronco that attempted to pass another vehicle, and upon doing so crossed a median and then struck a telephone pole. No injuries were reported, but there were wires on the pole that needed to be re-attached.
