9:46 a.m.: assist citizen, a person came to the station to complain that his former girlfriend has some of his property and won’t return it, the responding officer reports he spoke with the woman who subsequently delivered the man’s property to the station, the man came to collect his belongings and said that some of them are still missing, the man was referred to the district court;
11:41 a.m.: found property, Greylock Street, a resident brought to the station a two wheeled scooter found in the area of the spray park at the municipal playground on Hubbard Street;
12:20 p.m.: found property, Tin Bridge, Ponders Hollow Road, a resident brought a Mongoose bicycle to the station which had been found in the woods near the tin bridge;
12:42 p.m.: identity fraud, Hancock Street, a resident came to the station to report two incidents of identity fraud, the responding officer reports the complainant said that she was notified that an application had been made for a credit card in her name that she was not aware of, the woman said that the next day she investigated because no mail had been delivered for a few days and found that somebody had initiated online an order to stop mail delivery to her home;
3:31 p.m.: arrest, Elm Street, a detective reports that his investigation into the theft of two motorcycles from a West Silver Street garage located one of the dirt bikes which was offered for sale in Worcester, the motorcycle was recovered with assistance from Worcester police and the Westfield resident who provided the dirt bike was identified, Joshua M. Kelsey, 25, of 24 Edgewood St., was arrested for receiving stolen property;
6:19 p.m.: larceny, Elm Street, an owner of a an Elm Street store reports he realized that his brief case was missing and a review of his store’s security video appears to show a male party stealing the briefcase, the responding officer reports the video will be reviewed with an eye toward identifying the suspect;
7:39 p.m.: recreational vehicle complaint, Taylor Avenue, a caller reports a neighbor is speeding up and down the street on an ATV, the responding officer reports the ATV was located and found to be unregistered, a written warning was issued and the ATV was towed;
11:13 p.m.: fire, Mather Street, a caller reports a grass or brush fire, the responding firefighters report a shed was fully involved in flames, additional apparatus was dispatched, the structure collapsed before the fire was extinguished, the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
