3:28 a.m.: recovered motor vehicle, Springfield, a state trooper from the Springfield barracks reports that a vehicle reported stolen Tuesday, Sept. 10, from a Mainline Drive address has been recovered in Springfield;
7:04 a.m.: assault, Westfield High School, 177 Montgomery Road, a school resource officer reports that he has arrested a juvenile girl for being delinquent by reason of assault and battery and disorderly conduct, the SRO reports that the girl had been engaged in a fight and after the combatants had been separated by staff the girl then assaulted the staff members;
10:45 a.m.: city ordinance violation, Maple Street, a patrol officer reports he observed a known party apparently drinking beer on Maple Street behind a Franklin Street package store, the officer reports the man was obviously intoxicated and refused to show him the beer, the officer took the open container of beer from his backpack and poured it out, the man left the area;
12:21 p.m.: school investigation, Westfield Vocational-Technical High School, 33 Smith Avenue, a school resource officer reports he spoke with two pupils who complained that they were threatened by the boyfriend of a former friend and showed him a text message, the SRO reports that the matter will be resolved administratively by school officials;
12:22 p.m.: vandalism, Springfield Road, a resident came to the station to complain that her car was vandalized while it was parked at a Springfield Road department store, the responding officer reports the complainant said that she had been shopping in the store for about an hour and returned to find a very small dent on a rear door and damage to the molding around a mirror;
1:36 p.m.: vandalism, Springfield Road, a caller reports a truck was vandalized at a truck rental agency, the responding officer reports an employee said that she discovered the fuel line of a truck had been cut when she attempted to fill the tank and found fuel spilling on the ground, the employee said that another truck had been found with similar damage the day before and state police had advised the management of a person who had apparently stolen fuel in the area recently;
8:05 p.m.: noise complaint, St. Paul Street, a caller complains that the noise of children playing basketball is disturbing his peace, the responding officer reports he observed two youths about 12-years-old entering a residence with a basketball, the boys said they were going in for the night;
9:51 p.m.: disturbance, North Elm Street, a caller reports her former husband came to her residence and has broken a window, the responding officer reports he found the caller’s former boyfriend who wanted to speak with the resident so badly that he attempted to break her door to gain entry, Randal E. Humason Jr., 29, of 433 Holyoke Road, was arrested for vandalizing property.
