7:21 a.m.: fire, Russell Road, a caller reports a brush fire on the side of the road, the responding firefighters report a cooking fire had been extinguished but was still smoking, firefighters reports rain at the time ensured there was no danger of the fire spreading, the fire was fully extinguished;
10:56 a.m.: larceny, Southampton Road, a caller reports an employee has been seen on security video stealing cash from the register, the responding officer reports a check revealed that the suspect was the subject of an outstanding warrant, the officer reports that when she arrived for work Sarah M. Howland, 29, of 438 Springfield St., Agawam, was arrested on the warrant issued by Westfield District Court;
4:54 p.m.: fraud, Westwood Drive, a resident came to the station to complain that her on-line account was hacked, the responding officer reports that the woman said that an associated checking account has been compromised;
5:07 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, East Mountain Road at Holyoke Road, a patrol officer reports he observed a vehicle operating at 57 mph in a 40 mph zone, the operator’s was found to be unlicensed, Eliud N. Colon-Lopez, 47, of 65 Center St., Holyoke, was arrested for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle;
6:16 p.m.: larceny, Stop & Shop, 57 Main St., a caller reports two persons were seen leaving the store with a shopping cart loaded with merchandise which had not been paid for and fled when they were confronted, the responding officer reports he found that the suspects had abandoned the cart and merchandise in the parking lot;
7:35 p.m.: medical emergency, Holland Ave., a caller reports a person has overdosed on heroin and is not breathing, dual response dispatched, Narcan was administered and the man revived, the man was transported to Baystate Noble Hospital but left against medical advice, the man had been found be the subject of three outstanding warrants issued by the Westfield and Northampton district courts and the Hampshire Superior Court, Gregory Collison, 27, of 65 Morgan Circle, Amherst, was found and arrested on the three warrants.
