10:36 a.m.: larceny, Loomis Avenue, a caller reports she heard a mail carrier make a delivery to her porch but was not immediately able to collect the package which was found to be missing about 15 minutes later, the responding officer reports the victim was unable to immediately determine what was in the stolen package, the officer reports he spoke with the letter carrier who said she had not seen anybody following her but will now be more watchful;
2:25 p.m.: larceny, Brimfield Way, a resident came to the station to report her cell phone was stolen, the responding officer reports the woman said that she was at a bar the night before and believes she left the phone on the bar when she left, the victim said that the phone finder application indicates that the phone is in the Mechanic Street area, the officer reports the case remains under investigation;
3:54 p.m.: breaking and entering, Otis Street, a caller reports her residence was broken into, the responding office reports the caller said that she had been gone from about 11:40 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and returned home to find that the contents of her laundry room had been disturbed, the woman said she subsequently discovered that almost $4,000 in cash was missing, the woman told the officer that she doesn’t trust banks and had kept her life savings hidden in a place which nobody including her live-in boyfriend was aware of, the money however was not where she had hidden it and could not be found, the responding detectives report the laundry room window may have been opened and a neighbor reported that the victim’s dogs had been barking about 12:30 p.m., the case remains under investigation.
