3:51 a.m.: breaking and entering, Kasper Drive, a caller reports that when she answered her door a man forced his way into her home, assaulted her and demanded money, the responding officer reports the victim said that the man threw her to the ground and left after she gave him the money she had, see story in the Tuesday, Nov. 27, edition of The Westfield News;
10:25 a.m.: larceny, Hamlin Place, a resident came to the station to report that he was scammed and lost hundreds of dollars, the responding officer reports the man said that he was advised that his computer needed service and was induced to pay for those services with gift cards;
1:36 p.m.: breaking and entering, May Street, a landlord called to report a breaking and entering of one of his rental units, the responding officer reports the complainant said that one of the units he rents was entered and a television was stolen, the officer reports the man identified a suspect and an investigation was initiated;
4:33 p.m.: disturbance, City View Road, a called reports a neighbor with whom she has an ongoing property dispute is outside her home yelling at her house, the responding officer reports that while investigating the incident he was told that the man had assaulted his wife, the officer reports in a court document that the victim said that the man had slapped her head and face repeatedly and had head-butted her, the officer noted signs of injury consistent with her account, Jason L. Desormier, 48, of 5 Butternut Road, was arrested for assault and battery on a family or household member;
5:41 p.m.: vandalism, Sibley Ave., a caller reports the tires of her vehicle were slashed, the responding officer reports two tires were found to be slashed and the incident remains under investigation.
