WESTFIELD

12:48 a.m.: animal complaint, Knollwood Drive, a caller reports that he was driving on the roadway when his vehicle struck and killed a small white dog that ran into the road, the responding officer reports that the owner of the dog took custody of its remains;

3:17 a.m.: suspicious persons, Whispering Wind Road, a caller reports that two kids can be seen looking into parked cars after having been dropped off two minutes before, a responding officer reports that an individual in a black hoodie was observed fleeing toward Whispering Wind Road, the officers report that State Police assisted with an overnight search of the area but the search turned up negative;

8:51 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, Elm Street, a patrol officer reports that she pulled over a vehicle being driven by an individual with a suspended license, the officer reports that she arrested James Williams, 48, of 1001 Main St., Leeds, MA, for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, a number plate violation, and for an outstanding warrant;

4:06 p.m.: disturbance, Main Street, a caller reports that a group of six to eight youths were seen on their bikes throwing objects at a pickup truck, the responding officer reports that the incident stemmed from an argument between  driver and the youths after the youths were erratically riding their bikes in the road and were almost struck by the driver’s vehicle, the responding officer reports that all parties were advised to stay away from each other and sent on their way;

6:19 p.m.: disturbance, Main Street, a caller reports that three female parties were observed arguing in the middle of the road and blacking traffic, the responding officer reports that this was a case of road rage that turned into a verbal argument, the officer reports that all parties were sent on their way;

7:25 p.m.: accident, Elm Street, a caller reports that he was struck by a vehicle while riding his bike on Elm Street, the responding officer completed an accident report;

7:42 p.m.: accident, Sackett Road, a caller reports that a vehicle struck a guardrail and the operator was bleeding from his chest but refusing medical service, the responding officer requested a tow truck to remove the vehicle and completed an accident report.
