2:49 p.m.: fraud, General Shepard Apartments 25 Thomas St., a caller reports she was victimized by a scammer, the responding officer reports the woman said she was notified on-line that her computer was infected by a virus and paid a fee to have the problem rectified, the woman said that she was subsequently notified of loan applications made in her name without her knowledge, the loans were denied;
4:19 p.m.: fire, South Maple Street, a caller reports smoke is showing between the gas station and Cowles Bridge, the responding firefighters report school papers were found burning under the bridge and extinguished with the sand there;
6:56 p.m: officer wanted, Franklin Street, a caller reports he returned home to find another resident destroying her apartment, the responding officer reports he found that the woman was destroying her own property, the officers noted that the woman was intoxicated, loud and obnoxious throughout his encounter with her while the caller was very respectful, the officer also found that the caller was the subject of an outstanding warrant issued in 2017 by the Westfield District Court, Joseph I. Theriault, 51, of 44 Franklin St., was arrested on the warrant;
10:14 p.m.: lost property, Oakdale Avenue, a resident came to the station to report that a firearm is missing, the responding officer reports the resident said that a firearm he borrowed from his brother (who came to the station with him) is not where he left it in his apartment and is lost or stolen.
