9:00 a.m.: found property, Yeoman Avenue, a landscaping worker reports finding a motor cycle which has apparently been abandoned at the treeline, the owner of the dirt bike was not immediately identified and it was transported to the police impound yard, see 6:25 p.m. entry;
10:37 a.m.: larceny, Woodmont Street, a caller reports he was advised that his rental bicycle had been stolen, the responding officer reports the man returned to his home where he told the officer that the bike rented from Valley Bike Ride Share had been stolen, the officer found that the rental agency provides bikes for rental use in Springfield, Northampton, Amherst and Hadley, the agency will attempt to use the bike’s GPS device to locate it;
12:06 p.m.: larceny, Montgomery Road, a Turners Falls resident came to the station to report that her recumbent tricycle valued at $4,000 was stolen from the car port at a Montgomery Road address, the responding officer reports the complainant said that the trike was last seen on Sunday;
6:25 p.m.: larceny, Yeoman Avenue, a caller reports her sons noticed that their two dirt bikes were stolen, the responding officer reports the caller said that there are no signs of forcible entry and the garage may have been left unlocked, the motorcycles were last seen about 24 hours earlier;
7:03 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Springfield Road, a patrol officer reports he observed a vehicle operating with a cracked windshield, the vehicle was stopped and a routine check revealed that the operator’s license had been revoked, Luis A. Mercado, 24, of 103 Athol St., Springfield, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a license revoked as a habitual traffic offender and for operating a motor vehicle with a cracked or broken windshield, the owner was in the car and was cited for allowing unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle;
8:41 p.m.: fireworks complaint, Taylor Avenue, police investigated reports of fireworks, additional fireworks calls were reported at Shaker Road and Parker Avenue.
