5:57 a.m.: breaking and entering, Harvard Street, a caller reports he believes his car was broken into overnight and property is missing, the responding officer reports that the complainant said that one of the windows of the vehicle was not completely closed and a backpack containing fishing gear was stolen;
9:58 a.m.: school investigation, Westfield Technical Academy, 33 Smith Ave., a school resource officer reports he was advised that the grandmother of a pupil had come to the school to contact the child and the mother of the child objected, the pupil’s grandmother was served with a “No trespassing” order;
11:43 a.m.: larceny, North Road, a resident came to the station to report the front registration plate was stolen from his vehicle, the responding officer reports the complainant said that the plate was stolen some time since May 1;
1:01 p.m.: animal complaint, Montgomery Road Animal Hospital, 207 Montgomery Road, an animal control officer reports she went to the animal hospital to take custody of a black toy poodle puppy which had been brought there, the puppy was transported to the municipal animal shelter;
5:01 p.m.: officer wanted, Sibley Avenue, a resident came to the station to report problems with a neighbor and to complain that an outdoor table was stolen from his yard, the responding officer reports security video will be reviewed;
10:41 p.m.: officer wanted, East Main Street, a caller from a hair salon called to speak with an officer about cash missing from the business, the responding officer reports two employees each stated that they had seen a deposit pouch earlier but it could not be found when it was needed to make a deposit;
11:57 p.m.: assist other agency, Westfield Middle School South, 33 W. Silver St., a caller from Baystate Noble Hospital called to request assistance with a Lifestar helicopter transport of a patient to a Boston hospital, the responding officer reports the helicopter landed safely and an ambulance transported Lifestar personnel to the hospital to pick up the patient who was then transported to the school, the helicopter left without incident.
