9:25 a.m.: fraud, Pontoosic Road, a resident came to the station to complain of fraud. The responding officer reports the complainant said that a credit card account and a bank account have been accessed fraudulently resulting in a significant monetary loss, an investigation was initiated;
11:39 a.m.: vandalism, Main Street, the manager of a Main Street donut shop reports past vandalism to the glass front door, the responding officer reports that a customer reportedly slammed the door in a fit of pique causing significant cracking of the glass, see July 2, 12:07 p.m. entry;
9:01 p.m.: firework complaint, St.James Avenue, a caller reports numerous loud fireworks in the area are scaring his dogs, the responding officer reports he found 15-20 persons in a backyard who had moments earlier ignited a large box of fireworks resulting in the rapid deployment of “hundred of fireworks”, the residents were advised of the pertinent laws and verbally warned;
9:52 p.m.: animal complaint, West School Street, an animal control officer reports she is responding to a report of a found German shepherd dog, the ACO report she transported the dog and a kitten to the animal shelter;
10:04 p.m.: fire, Ridgeview Terrace, a caller reports a fire in the woods behind a residence, the responding firefighters report heavy fire was found in the woods and it was spreading toward the lawn of a residence where nobody was at home, reinforcements were dispatched and the fire was extinguished, the fire captain reports fireworks debris was evident on the lawn.
