8:08 a.m.: found property, Dewey Avenue, a resident came to the station to surrender an iPhone found on Dewy Street June 10, the responding officer reports the owner of the phone could not be identified and it was stored for safe keeping;
10:40 a.m.: assault, Springfield Road a caller reports her boyfriend was assaulted after a road rage incident, the responding officer reports the caller said that two men exited a vehicle which had followed her car into a parking lot and one of the men held her boyfriend while the other punched him, the officer reports a check of the registration plate number which the caller provided did not yield immediate results;
3:30 p.m: officer wanted, Alice Burke Way, a caller reports her hidden key was stolen, her residence was entered and property was stolen, the responding officer reports the victim said that medications and a financial services card were stolen;
4:11 p.m.: larceny, Joseph Avenue, a resident came to the station to complain that he was scammed on-line, the responding officer reports the complainant said that he had sent payment for a vehicle advertised on line and was then advised a significant additional delivery fee which he did not pay;
7:25 p.m.: suspicious activity, Plantation Circle, a resident came to the station to report a scam attempt, the responding officer reports the complainant said that a putative purchaser of merchandise she offered for sale on-line sent much more than the purchase amount and asked that he be sent change, the woman said that she did not comply with the request;
8:41 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, North Road, a patrol officer reports that he observed a vehicle operating at an excessive rate of speed and stopped the car, the operator’s license was found to have been revoked as a habitual traffic offender but the man said that he was rushing to take his female passenger to Holyoke Hospital, the officer reports that despite misgivings he allowed the man to continue in accordance with statutes allowing unlicensed operation in an emergency, the officer reports he lingered in the area and stopped the vehicle when it returned about 15 minutes later, a routine inspection revealed both occupants to be in possession of a bundle (ten bags) of heroin and an open container of alcohol, Larry Chartier, 46, of 180 Rolf Ave., Chicopee was arrested for possession of heroin and for operating of a motor vehicle with a license revoked as an habitual traffic offender, Christina A. Waldo, 39, of 25 Russell Rond, Huntington, was arrested for possession of heroin and for possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
