6:56 a.m.: assist other agency, Western Avenue, representatives of a variety of federal agencies request assistance executing a federal warrant, the responding officer reports the subject was found in a car operating on Western Avenue, the vehicle was stopped and Carlos A. Mares Jr., 39, of 1850 Northampton St., Holyoke, was arrested on the warrant;
8:20 a.m.: code white drill, Westfield Middle School South, 30 W. Silver St., city and state law enforcement personnel executed an active shooter training exercise at the school without complications;
8:32 a.m.: found property. East Main Street, a resident came to the station to surrender a found wallet containing cash and identification cards, the responding officer reports he was unable to immediately contact the owner and the wallet was stored for safe keeping;
9:27 a.m.: lost property, a person came to the state to report losing a wallet, a report was filed;
10:54 a.m.: breaking and entering, Eastwood Drive, an off duty officer reports he was advised of break-in while the resident was away, the responding officer reports a significant amount of jewelry and electronics were stolen;
12:54 p.m.: fraud, Park Drive, a resident came to the station to report fraudulent use of her credit card, the responding officer reports the card was used to rent a car in Michigan which the suspect then stole;
1:51 p.m.: larceny, Root Road, officers report they spoke with a resident who reported a theft from his home, the resident told the officers that a personal safe had been stolen.
