11:15 a.m.: officer wanted, Exchange Street, a caller reports her son has stolen money and her property, the responding officer reports an investigation was initiated;
2:20 p.m.: breaking and entering, East Mountain Road, a caller reports he came home to find his home was burglarized after the family left about 8:30 a.m., the responding office reports entry was made via a kitchen window and the resident reports that a large amount of property including jewelry, electronics and cash was stolen;
2:43 p.m.: accident, a detail officer reports a road worker suffered an injury to his foot, the victim was transported to Baystate Medical Center;
3:49 p.m.: larceny, Clinton Avenue, a resident came to the station to complain that the registration plate was stolen from his car, the responding officer reports the victim said that he does not know when or where the plate was pried off his car but said that the screws which held the plate are still in place;
4:23 p.m.: fraud, Mechanic Street, a resident came to the station to complain that her father’s bank accounts have been compromised, the responding office reports the victim has never lost control of his card but there have been several fraudulent transactions involving several thousand dollars posted to his account;
9:12 p.m.: arrest, North Elm Street, an office reports he observed a person known to have a suspended license operating a motor vehicle and he stopped the car, the officer reports the operator was found to be in possession of heroin, Jolene R. Bettro, 35, of 868 Southampton Road, Lot 72, Westfield, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and for possession of a Class A drug;
9:21 p.m.: arrest, Thomas Street, a detective reports that an ongoing investigation has developed probable cause to make an arrest and requests a marked unit to assist, Addie B, Wohlers, 35, of 8 St. Paul St., Westfield, was arrested for distribution of heroin.
