I understand the fireworks at Stanley Park are going to be this weekend, the 30th I believe. Could you please put something in the paper saying that no pets will be allowed? I don’t see why they have to bring their dogs anyway. They should leave them home and let other people enjoy the night without worrying about barking dogs and getting tangled up in their leashes. So I hope you will put something in the paper asking people to leave their dogs home and to not bring them to the fireworks. Thank you.  This is true.  As Carl Hartdegen reported Saturday, neither dogs nor bicycles will be allowed.

A while ago I gave a bunch of cans to the grandmother of a young girl for her Washington D.C. school trip. Much to my surprise, I received a “thank you” note in the mail from this young lady. This leads me to believe that this girl is being brought up in a proper, polite fashion and will someday turn out to be a good citizen. Keep up the good work grandma, the parents, and of course the young girl. Have a good day.

As a volunteer at the Westfield Animal Shelter, I’m asking people to please don’t forget about all animals we have here. We have so many dogs that supplies have rapidly dwindled. We could use donations of paper towels, detergents, dish soap, spray cleaner and dog bones. Monetary donations are always welcome. Thank you.

We fear that bears and wildlife will bring harm to us so we tranquilize them and relocate them elsewhere. We should instead tranquilize the human wildlife of criminals roaming around amongst us and relocate them elsewhere as they are, for certain, a harm to all of us.

Good morning, Pulse Line! Just calling to say I’m looking forward to Friday and the dedication of the new bridges. It should be an exciting event for the whole City of Westfield. One note though: Wouldn’t it be nice if they would actually mow the grass coming down Clay Hill along the nice stone wall to make a nice entrance to the city? It looks really nice when it gets mowed (not too often, but when it does it looks good). So, please, mow the grass near the stone wall on Clay Hill before Friday. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Go Westfield, you’re looking good!

This is regarding the fare increase for the PVTA and the big college buses that ramble back and forth through the construction. Please keep them away from the beautiful dedication of the bridge. You have four buses running over there and they don’t have a clue as to what they’re doing. No increases in the fare to support the tour buses going back and forth to the college. Thank you.
