I complied with the mandatory water restrictions set forth by our Westfield leadership.
The interesting part of all this has been on my daily ride to work. Monday restriction is no use at all. It was comical to see our city parks sprinkling away, especially the sprinklers watering the street. Tuesday was even better, pouring rain and all those sprinklers going full tilt. I guess our officials can continue to pat themselves on the back for the wonderful job they are doing yet they don’t have to follow the same rules sprinkled on us. On top of it all was all of the commercial sites that water every day. Ironic that the residential tax, water bill, excise, and the soon to be increased storm water fee payer is the one who is threatened with fines if they don’t comply. I can only imagine how much water is being used by the city and local businesses who ignore these restrictions. Pity the taxpayer who washes his car clean from the pitiful roads we must drive on at the wrong time. It is time for changes on Court St.
