Patrick has ordered that the United States flag and the Commonwealth flag be lowered to half-staff at all state buildings from sunrise until sunset on Thursday, August 14, 2014 in honor of Major General Harold J. Greene, 55, U.S. Army, who was died on August 5, 2014. This gubernatorial order applies to: 1. The main or administration building of each public institution of the Commonwealth, e.g. town and city halls. 2. Other state-owned or state-controlled buildings. 3. All state military installations.
while attending a funeral last week, I was upset to notice during the short drive to the cemetery at least 2 people who were in such a hurry to get to that ATM or the coffee shop that they felt it was fine to cut into the procession. what ever happened to simple respect? these are probably the same people who are so self important that they don’t bother to pull over so that an ambulance can get thru. hopefully it will not be your family member waiting for medical help that was delayed because of that important text message you were reading.
