Pulseline

PulseLine, January 9, 2013

Good morning PulseLine, I’m glad you’re back. A lot of us seniors and low-income families don’t own a computer but we like using the PulseLine. My complaint is, in Southwick, under the new ordinance they have about anyone in town that has a sidewalk in front of their property, it’s their responsibility to clean it immediately after each storm. I like to walk on the sidewalks through the center of town but I’m having a problem when I go in front of Southwick Insurance Company. They’re not clearing it all the way to the street on the south end of their property. I have to walk into the road now. That’s kind of dangerous for us seniors. I hope they read this and will take care of the problem. Have a good day. Have you contacted the management of Southwick Insurance Company with your concern? I’m sure the good folks there can address it rather quickly.

I’m wondering who the construction company is at the Mobil at the corner of Franklin and Elm Street. I think it was Shemp, Curly and Moe construction company.

Hello. Southwick resident here. I hope the other two selectmen aren’t as blind as the female selectwoman that thinks the DPW director is doing a good job. Personally, I think he’s doing a lousy job and needs to be replaced immediately. Thank you.

Yeah, I just finished reading the January 8th, Tuesday’s edition of your paper. And I was reading the article on the front page about Don Humason thinks the Republicans bickering with one another doesn’t effect them here. And he also stated in the article that it was a close presidential election. Well, I don’t know what presidential election Mr. Humason was talking about but I believe Barack Obama is the only president to win two terms by such a majority since President Eisenhower. Now that doesn’t sound like a close election to me. I don’t what he’s talking about, as a matter of fact. And as far as the bickering goes, it goes all the way throughout the Republican Party, because they are a party that can’t do a thing because they got a few people, as power-play people, who won’t let the Speaker of the House do a darned thing. Now maybe Don can help straighten that thing out. Hope so. Thank you.
