Comcast strikes again! We received a notice from Comcast that effective August 28, five channels will no longer be available on our TV plan, which is digital economy. If Comcast eliminates one more program on our plan, we will definitely cancel our service to Comcast and get an old-fashioned TV antenna. Bah, humbug, Comcast! Laura Brubaker Crisco, Director of Public Relations for Comcast’s Western New England Region states: “Consistent with most U.S. video providers, Comcast carries local stations from one designated market based on information received from the FCC and Nielsen Media Research, and Westfield is designated as part of the Springfield-Holyoke DMA market. Customers can continue to watch the vast majority of the programming provided by Hartford-New Haven DMA broadcasters on Springfield-Holyoke DMA broadcast channels. We apologize for any inconvenience these changes may cause.”
