I am writing about a bad experience I had with a matchmaker from Amherst. I joined for 12 months and had one match. This is a huge rip-off and I want to prevent this happening to other lonely people out there. There must be a better way for adults to make a connection with each other. If anyone knows of a single group in the area, would you please e-mail me at [email protected]. I would love to hear from other singles in the area.

To the person about the wrinkled paper… I get my paper the same way… It is no big deal… You spread it out and press your hand on it and it becomes good enough so you can read it… So I put my reading glasses on to make it a little easier… OK, I see your point… All I am saying is give the kids a break that deliver… Didn’t you deliver papers when you were a child ?? You do not have to call their manager and make it such a big deal… Again, these are children!! Talk to them directly and explain to them nicely not to roll your paper so tight and give them a $1.00 tip each week… And, notice about if they can not do their job it may be time do find someone else!! In the last year alone I bet you have gone through 2 or 3 kids/persons that deliver?? Maybe not… But my point is nowadays there are not a lot of people, whether adults or kids, that want to go out and deliver the papers like it was when I was growing up… So, with that said, maybe you should thank them rather than trying to replace them because there is not a waiting list for new delivery persons or maybe you should go to the local store every day and buy your paper from the store !! The point is there are bigger things in life than a wrinkled newspaper!! And at least the kids that are delivering the papers are trying to make their own money and are trying to be responsible… So, cut them a break !! This is not meant to be mean… Have a great day !!

Hello PulseLine, this is State Representative Don Humason. I wanted to thank “The Cheerleader” for the positive comments about our great city in the Pulse Line on Friday, July 6th. The caller mentioned my “I love Westfield” buttons. I would be delighted to give them one. If anyone wants a free pin contact me at my district office at 64 Noble Street in downtown Westfield. The number is 568-1366. They can arrange a convenient time to stop by and pick one up. There are more and more reasons to love Westfield every day. Thank you. Have a great day!
