I just wanted to say what a great job the Westfield DPW did on coming to the rescue to take down the old tree that brought down our power line, cable etc. In cooperation with WG&E, they handled the problem immediately that was not only a hazard to us and neighbors but anyone traveling on Northwest Road. They went above and beyond to clean up the debris including raking. KUDOS and thank you.
I used to really enjoy your paper until the past year. Some I guess you could say major stories you guys have printed I found upsetting. One of the stories that was printed didn’t have the correct info, the most inappropriate front page photo and so badly written. That story was from this past summer. The most recent one was about a young man that had past. You posted this story about him but nothing in it was really about him. Only what anyone could find if they really wanted to know his record but nothing on how he was as a person. I think you guys could have made this sad story something worth reading and help raise awareness of the drug problem young kids are having and how I was a tragic loss. A lot of the stories of been… To put it nicer, I wish I could read more on the good of the town or about more event in the town. I have noticed that most of the stories I have read with incorrect information or just poorly written are from the same person. Not all are from her but most. I just told you briefly about the two stories that upset me the most and they are about 6months apart from each other and both of those have been written by the some people I believe. I just really hope before publishing a story that some one is checking ALL the facts before hand and maybe try in some cases the turn a negative into a positive. An other thing is maybe do a follow up on a story when able. I can tell you that the story I mentioned from last summer a lot of people would of liked a follow up story. Just my thoughts. Thank you.
