I’m wondering why there is not a police officer stopping and directing traffic up on Southampton Road when the schools get out. It’s absolutely incredible how fast these cars drive through the school zone when it’s posted 20 miles an hour when school is getting out. I just don’t understand why there isn’t a police officer there.  There was all last year but I don’t know what’s happening this year. Instead of three or four police officers directing traffic at a construction zone, how about putting one up here on Southampton Road when these kids get out of school before someone gets killed because of how fast these people drive? Thank you.

“Cow pasture for dogs”? “Dogs barking”?” “Owners not picking up after their dogs”? Obviously you have never been to a dog park.  I’m not suggesting that Stanley Park BUILD a dog park, only donate a piece of land so that those trying to open a dog park would have a convenient and safe place to do so.

In response to “Its 10 days out of the school year!!! My Lord, make arrangements”. Like it’s that easy. It sounds like another case of working moms versus at-home moms. Why are working moms penalized and thought to be abandoning their kids, when the purpose for us going to work every day is to be able to raise our kids in a decent environment and put three meals a day on the table? We are not at work because we want to be away from our kids. We are there because we have to be. We are not all married to bank presidents or doctors. There are many necessary services out there that our husbands work for, that do not pay top dollar. Maybe some of the at-home moms could volunteer to take care of the working moms’ kids so it doesn’t have to be such a struggle. Why does everyone have to be so mean and nasty? Why can’t the adults act like adults and support each other?
