Thursdays paper really had me alarmed. I wonder how much effort and money it costs our “collector of taxes” to chase down a delinquent payer, run adds in the paper, send mail notifications, all for some one who owes $4.19, $.96, or even $.60 in taxes! Does that person not have any common sense and can’t see “gray” as opposed to “black & white”? Who knows what simple error caused someone to owe $.60, $.96, or even $4.19? I’d would hate to think how many $.49 stamps, time spent filling out forms, how many envelops, etc… that the “collector” used when trying to collect $.60……..
