Hello! I am writing to thank the woman who saw my credit card in the gas pump last week at the gas station near Stop & Shop and turned it in. I have been disabled with medical issues this past year and have been so distracted recently. I noticed the card missing when I got home and returned to the gas station. I was sure that someone must have taken it by then and was charging all kinds of things on my credit card. When I got there, the cashier told me that a woman noticed the card in the gas pump and turned it in. I was amazed and surprised. I thought how wonderful this woman is and how amazing it is that she turned it in. It reminded me that there are still some good and honest people out there. I really needed a positive thing like that to happen to me and thank you very, very much for being so kind.

As a new resident of the city of Westfield, I would like to thank the people who have welcomed us to our new home. Our neighbors, the school system, and our employers have all made our relocation from the Midwest as painless as possible. Westfield was our first choice, followed by Agawam or Southwick. There is just one thing that I consider a total nuisance and I am hoping The Westfield News can look into why the local railroads feel the need to incessantly blow their air horns. I work 3rd shift at a local hospital and have to listen to those horns which start at 4:30 – 5:00 a.m. every morning and continue all day. It’s almost impossible to fall asleep! Is there a reason they have to do this? Is there somewhere I can complain to? Isn’t it noise pollution? Anyone I ask about it agrees with me. Love Westfield but considering packing up and moving to Southwick, I need some sleep! Thank you. Check here to see what other options you may have.
