Tis the season… for live music. The area’s concert calendar is quickly filling up for the end of this year and a number of shows already scheduled for early next year. Some amazing shows have recently been announced for both small clubs and big venues. Although not all of these are Rawk shows, if you are a fan of music, you will find one or a couple of these upcoming shows to your liking.
The leader of the pack for quantity and quality of live events is by far Mohegan Sun. Check out the following shows already announced for the arena at Mohegan Sun: December show include James Taylor, Slipknot, Bob Seger, Justin Timberlake and Kenny Rogers. If that isn’t enough look at these shows already announced for 2015: Extreme, Linkin Park, Fleetwood Mac, Aaron Lewis, Florida Georgia Line, Neil Diamond, Ariana Grande, The Who and Nickelback(lined up for an August show). Some other cool shows of note in the area has Gwar going to Toad’s Place in New Haven on December 12. Bush and Theory of a Deadman rawk the Dome at Oakdale on February 20. Seether and Papa Roach play Foxwoods on January 15 and then the House of Blues in Boston on January 18.
Perhaps the biggest concert announcement of the year came from country superstar Garth Brooks and his three nights stand at the TD Garden in Boston. Tickets are on sale this Friday through Ticketmaster for his shows on January 22, 23 and 24. Tickets are priced at a very reasonable $66.00.
This is just a small sampling of concerts that are coming to the area for the rest of this year and beyond. I hope this stirs some thoughts about what to get your loved ones for Christmas… Rawk On!
