Raymond R. Moquin

WESTFIELD: Raymond R. Moquin passed away peacefully at home December 26, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. He was born to the late Edgar and Alice (Elliot) Moquin on June 26, 1935 in Springfield, MA.

Raymond graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1953 and was a lifelong communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Westfield as well as an usher. Ray worked at Old Colony Envelope in Westfield for 44 years before retiring in 1998. He loved woodworking as well as gardening and fishing. He was also an avid Red Sox fan and loved going on many family trips to Cape Cod. Ray was a member of St. Mary’s Men’s Club and was President of the Old Colony Beneficial Association. He was the best father, husband, grandfather and was a man of patience. Putting family first was always his main goal, which is what gave him the most joy in life. His actions always spoke louder than words.

Raymond leaves his loving wife of 65 years Evelyn (Labombard) Moquin. He also leaves his children James and wife Jessica Moquin of Westfield, William and wife Jane Moquin of Bernardston, Susan Moquin of Hampden and Sally and husband Darren Bein of Westfield. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Ray was predeceased by his daughter Sandy Moquin as well as his sister Paula Storozuk.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ray’s name to the Westfield Regional Animal Shelter, 178 Apremont Way, Westfield, MA 01085. A celebration of Ray’s life will be celebrated at a later date due to Covid. www.firtionadams.com
