Rita M. Hague

hague RitaRUSSELL – Rita M. (McCloud) Hague, 93, died Sunday, September 29, 2013 in a local nursing home. She was born in North Adams, MA on November 9, 1919 to the late Clarence and Laura (Conway) McCloud.
She grew up in Woronoco and attended local schools. She worked at the Springfield Armory during WWII. Rita also worked at Strathmore Paper Co. in Woronoco and for Pioneer Valley Potato Chip Co. which was owned by the Hague Family in Russell. She enjoyed playing bingo, was a member of the Russell VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 6645, and was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Charles E. Hague on September 9, 1996. Rita leaves her children, Dennis C. Hague and his wife Pandora of Russell, Bonnie R. Hague of West Springfield, Candace C. Collins of Russell, and her much loved grandchildren, Hillary and Jared Hague. She was predeceased by her siblings, Clarence McCloud Jr., Dorothy Clark and Helen Buffam.
The funeral for Rita will be held on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. at the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Our lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 127 Holyoke Road, Westfield. Burial will follow at the Russell Cemetery. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m.
