WESTFIELD – The City of Westfield has announced that road surface work on both Shaker Road and Paper Mill Road will begin today and will take several weeks to complete.
The areas of Shaker Road between Falley Drive and Laurel Avenue, as well as Paper Mill Road between Union Street and Mocking Bird Lane, which were hard hit this past winter and in desperate need of repair, will be redone.
Both roadways are scheduled to be milled down and some street-level structures will be modified prior to a final coating of asphalt being put down.
Drivers are encouraged to seek alternates travel routes.
