Robert C. Ruscio

Ruscio BobWESTFIELD – Robert C. “Bobby” Ruscio, 62, died peacefully, at home on March 31, 2013, surrounded by his family after a long, courageous battle with leukemia. Born in Springfield, MA on December 2, 1950, he was the son of the late Thomas J. Ruscio Sr. and Catherine (Gugliotta) Ruscio.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Cheryl and their children, Christopher W. Ruscio and his wife, Lindsey of Springfield, MA, Anthony C. Alessi and his wife, Suzanne of Washington, D.C., and Tanja E. Alessi of West Palm Beach, FL. Robert leaves his cherished grandchildren, Trenton W. Levakis at home and Angelina K. Alessi of Washingon, D.C. He also leaves his brothers, Thomas Ruscio Jr. and his wife, Nancy of Wilbraham, MA, Frank Ruscio and his wife, Kathy of Westfield, MA, Paul Ruscio and his wife, Mary of East Longmeadow MA and Vera Vigneault and her husband, Mark of Merrimack, NH as well as his aunts, uncles, several cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, dear neighbors and friends.
Bob and his family are most grateful to the numerous doctors, nurses, technicians and other caregivers including those of Dana Farber, Brigham and Womens, and Noble Hospital for their most compassionate care.
The funeral will be Friday, April 5, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. from Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
