Robert F. James

Agawam – Robert Francis James, 75, (1942-2018) passed away Friday at Baystate, surrounded by his loving family.  Bob was born on June 22, 1942 in Huntington to the late George and Monica (Duga) James.  Bob owned B & D Variety in Huntington for many years.  He worked as a bus driver for Lecrenski Brothers, First Student and George Gary for many years.  He was an avid outdoorsman and cherished his family.  He is survived by his children Cindy Camp and her husband Philip of Montgomery, Monica Czarnecki of NY, Lee Robert and his wife Linda of Chester, Richard Stone and his wife Kathy of Chester, Earl Stone of Chester, Keith Stone of FL, and his siblings George James of CA, Jon James of SC, Edward James of Huntington, William James of Russell, Richard James of Becket, Kathy Jones of Huntington, and Mary Burns of Blandford.  He was the proud Grand Bob of 13 grand children and 10 great grandchildren.  He was predeceased by his beloved daughters Violet Gallant and Penny Nicholas, and his brother Robert Gleason.  He will be dearly missed by his very close friends Bonnie and Richard Holcomb, many nieces and nephews, and to all who knew him as Uncle Bob.  A Memorial Service will be held Monday, April 16, 2018 @ 2PM at the Montgomery Community Church, 160 Main Road, Montgomery, MA 01085.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bob’s name to the American Cancer Society, 59 Balboa Drive, Holyoke, MA 01040.  Westfield Funeral Home and Cremation has be assisting the family with these arrangements.  Please visit www.westfieldfuneralhome.com for Bob’s Memorial page.
