Robert J. Forry

WESTFIELD – Robert J. Forry, 58, passed away at home Wednesday, May 18, 2022. He was born in Springfield MA to Janet E. Forry and the late John R. Forry whom he loved dearly. Bob worked for the former Pond Ekberg Company in Chicopee. He then worked for the City of Westfield as a Waste Water Treatment Operator for twenty years.

He was predeceased by his father-in-law and friend, Robert J. Bruno.

In his younger days Bob could be found at the gym working out where he met his wife, Krissi. He loved and took pride in his large vegetable and flower gardens and in his many fruit trees. Bob was a diehard Patriot fan as he loved watching and attending games. He spent time in Aruba and Maine and loved traveling with his family. Bob enjoyed discussing politics and current events. He played in a pitch league with his friend Brian and was very proud of their three championship trophies. Bob was very involved in all his kid’s sports activities volunteering his time in football, gymnastics and swimming. He enjoyed going to the shooting range with his friends or sitting around the fire pit listening to 70’s and 80’s music with a good cigar and cocktail. With a knack for making people laugh, he was renowned to his family and friends for telling humorous childhood stories of growing up. Throughout his life Bob has easily made and maintained friendships. The number of family and friends that loved Bob is a true testament to a life well lived.

Bob leaves behind the love of his life, his wife Krissi Bruno and daughters Gia and Farrah Forry, as well as sons Mark Forry and Michael Forry all of Westfield. He leaves his mother Janet Forry of Westfield, his mother-in-law Connie Bruno and companion Marty Radewick of Feeding Hills. Bob leaves behind his siblings Patricia Miller and husband Rick Miller of West Springfield, his sister Sandra Morris and husband Kevin Morris of Westfield, his sister Linda Giaquinto of West Springfield, his brother Russell Forry and wife Patricia Forry of Westfield, and his many nieces and nephews.

The passing of Bob will be felt deeply by all who loved him. Calling hours for Bob will be held on Thursday, May 26th from 4-7 pm at the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield. The funeral will be Friday at 9:30 am at the funeral home followed by a Mass at 11 am in St. Thomas Church, West Springfield. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery.
