Westfield – 
Robert J. Garcia, 81, passed away at home on January 22, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Westfield to the late Joseph and Anna (Carando) Garcia and was a graduate of Westfield Vocational. Bob was employed as a machinist and millwright for Longview Fiber Box for 25 years retiring in 1991. He loved working outside, mowing the lawn, building bird houses, going for rides and vacationing in Ogunquit, ME and Cape Cod, but mostly spending time with his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bob is survived by his beloved wife Elaine A. (Toporowski) Garcia, his loving children, James Garcia and his wife Deborah of Westfield, Michael Garcia of Westfield, Deborah Balser and her husband Tim of Westfield, Christine Sico and her husband Danny of Huntington, Linda Garcia of West Springfield and Lori Bowen and her husband John of Westfield, his brothers, Joseph Garcia and his wife (Theresa) and Richard Garcia and his wife Martha, all of Westfield, his sister Maryann Reno of South Hadley, his cherished grandchildren, Jessica, Karen, Michael, Matthew, Meghan and Payton, great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Ella, Joelle and Jack and many nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held on Monday at 8:30 AM from the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield, followed by a Mass at 9:30AM in Holy Trinity Church, Elm St. Westfield, burial will follow in Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery Main St. Agawam.
