Robert S. DeCoteau, III

Blandford – Robert S. DeCoteau, III, 31, (1986-2018) passed away at home on March 27, 2018. He was born in Springfield to Vicki (Trudeau) Benford and Robert S. DeCoteau, Jr.  R served in the United States Marine Corps as a Helicopter Mechanic, serving two tours in Iraq; Operation Iraqi Freedom 05-07 and 66-08. He received the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon with 1 star, Iraqi Campaign Medal with 1 Campaign Star, and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. Bobby enjoyed spending time with his boys, camping, swimming and being outdoors. He is survived by his wife Katelyn H. (Barlow) DeCoteau and their sons, James R. and Jacob E., all of Blandford, his mother Vicki Benford and her husband Brooks of Russell, his father Robert S. DeCoteau, Jr. with Marissa of Florida, his sister Brandi C. Reed and her husband Robert of Westfield and his brother Dustin J. DeCoteau and his wife Amber of Russell, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews including Aislynn and Delilah and many friends. A Funeral Home Service will be held for Bobby on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 9:45 AM in the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield, followed by burial with Military Honors in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St. Agawam. A Visiting hour will precede the service from 8:30-9:45 AM in the funeral home. Donations in lieu of flowers in Roberts name may be directed to the Marine Corps League, 71 N.
