Robert Thomas Parks

WESTFIELD – Robert Thomas Parks (1945-2026) of Westfield MA, passed peacefully on February 14th, 2026, at East Longmeadow Skilled Nursing Center. He was 81 years old.

Robert, known as Tom to his family, and Cy or Bob to his friends, was born in Boston, MA and raised in Westfield, where he graduated from Westfield Trade High School in 1962. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and served as a Drill Sargent. He later continued his education, studying mechanical engineering/manufacturing, at Western New England College. He spent most of his career with Smith and Wesson, then was employed by Titeflex before his retirement.

Robert had a quiet nature, and enjoyed spending time outdoors, and loved fishing for smallmouthed bass. A woodworking hobbyist, he crafted beautiful furniture and other pieces with careful planning and attention to detail.

Robert was predeceased by his son, Barrett, and leaves his sons, Gary and Wayne, his stepdaughter, Nikki, his brother, John Parks, and sister, Joan Boylan. He also leaves three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
