Ronald J. Milos

Southwick – Ronald J. Milos, 69, of Southwick, MA, formerly of Brunswick, NY, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2016. Born in Summit, NJ, he was the son of the late Thelma (Haussmann) Milos, who passed away on Thursday September 15, 2016.

 

Ron graduated from Seton Hall University with a BS in Education. He then joined the Peace Corps to serve as a Teacher of English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) for two years in Baglan, Afghanistan. His career included teaching English in New Jersey and professional positions in communication and documentation.  Ron has always been intrigued by the written word.  He published four books: The Kush, The Troop, Strings, Apart, and a novella: Miles from Millersburg.

 

Ron is survived by his loving wife Barbara (Thomas) Milos; his son Greg Milos and his wife Brooke of Avon, CT; his daughter Stephanie Brown and her husband David of Annapolis, MD; 3 grandchildren, Travis, Daphne, and Vivian, as well as another granddaughter on the way due in February; his brother, Stan “Jay” Milos and and his wife Carolyn of NJ; and his sister, Carole Zicker and her husband Art of NJ.

 

His family will receive friends on Saturday, October 8th from 10-12 PM at the Southwick Forastiere Funeral Home, 624 College Highway, Southwick. A Funeral Home Service will take place at 12:00 PM.
