Usually, steady does it. Not so this week as my 7-5 record proved beatable by some 60 percent of the public.
Stephen Sabadosa, of Westfield seized the top spot with a mark of 11-1. For his winning entry, Sabadosa will receive a gift certificate to The Tavern Restaurant. He and a dozen or so others who manage to claim one of the 17 weekly prizes will vie for our grand prize, a flat-screen television courtesy of Manny’s TV & Appliances.
Speaking of No. 1 spots, the AFC’s top squad, the New England Patriots (8-2) host the 4-6 Miami Dolphins, while the NFC best Philadelphia Phillies (9-1) take on the lowly Chicago Bears (3-7). In our Sunday night tiebreaker, the Pittsburgh Steelers (8-2) host the 5-5 Green Bay Packers.
