HOLYOKE: Sheila Crean-Rheault, age 87, (1933-2020) died Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Mont Marie Health Care Center. She was born in Westfield to the late Hugh and Nora (Brosnan) Crean. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s Elementary and High School. She was a member of the Sisters of St. Joseph for 23 years. Sheila received a BA from The College of Our Lady of the Elms and taught in several schools in the Diocese of Springfield. She also worked at New England Telephone Co. and WestMass Elder Care.
Sheila was preceded in death by her husband Bob Rheault, her parents, her three brothers John (Jack) Crean, Rev Hugh Crean, William (Bill) Crean and a dear cousin Rosemary Daly Pniak. She is survived by her sisters-in-law Claire (Pat) Crean and Joan Pavel, her cousins Joe Daly, Jack Daly and Mary Elizabeth Costello, Bob’s daughter Mary Lise Rheault and several generations of loving nieces and nephews. The family would like to express our thanks for the care given by the staff at Mont Marie Health Care Center.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 5th at 10:30 am at St. Mary’s Church in Westfield. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
