Blandford – Shirley Packard Palmer, 90, a resident at the Arbors of Westfield, died on Friday, March 17, 2017 at Noble Hospital. Born October 3, 1926, Sh
e lived in Worthington until marrying the late Leon W. Palmer of Blandford. Blandford then became her home with their two children, Stephen J. Palmer and Nancy L. Palmer (who died in 1993). For many years she was involved with Child Evangelism Fellowship teaching children of Jesus Christ and training teachers as well. She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church on Holyoke Rd and previously Victory Baptist Church in Eustis, FL where she and Leon spent winters for many years. An avid quilter, she was actively involved in the Granville Quilt and Needlework Guild. She is survived by a brother, Warren Packard of Suffield, CT, a sister, Phylis Eddy of Melbourne, FL, a son, Stephen J. Palmer of Apache Jct, AZ, 7 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Interment will be at the Blandford Cemetery at a future date.
