Westfield – Shirley Petrucelli,92, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2018 at a local nursing home. Shirley was born on February 6, 1925 to the late James and Irene (Gadreault) Crean. She grew up in Westfield, graduating from Westfield High School. While being a devoted wife and mother, Shirley worked diligently blazing the trail helping to found the Hampden County Association for Retarded Children, Camp Togowalk and the Work Opportunity Center. In 1986 Shirley and Charlie, along with the oldest son, moved to Cape Cod where they became members of Our Lady of Victory Parish. An avid gardener, Shirley was a member and the treasurer for the Hyannis Garden Club. Predeceased by her husband Charles L Petrucelli Sr. and her son Charles L Petrucelli Jr., Shirley leaves behind her children Neil Petrucelli and his wife Wendy of Westfield, Sara Petrucelli of Lake Wales FL and Daniel Petrucelli of Lake Wales Fl. She also leaves her grandchildren Jason Petrucelli , Chelsea Baker and Nicholas Baker. Shirley leaves a great grandchild Breighlyn Surrell. Shirley was predeceased by her brothers William Crean, James Crean and sister Mary Rose Crean and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held on Saturday January 20 at 9am from the Firtion Adams Funeral Service 76 Broad St Westfield followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in St Mary’s Church.
