BLANDFORD – Blandford town officials recently announced their intention to join with the new management of Ski Blandford for its 2018/2019 season Kick Off / Open House Party on Saturday, November 3, beginning at 11:00 a.m. The location of this family friendly event is 41 Nye Brook Road, Blandford. Members of the public are invited to participate at this event, witness the unveiling of its Phase I area improvements, and join-in on the activities scheduled for this day.

“We have been hard at work, and we genuinely appreciate the continued support of the Town of Blandford, our loyal pass holders, and everyone who has shown their support throughout our efforts to revitalize the ski area. We are ready to celebrate skiing and riding’s return to Blandford!” said Ron Crozier, General Manager of Ski Blandford.

“It is great to see a local business interest investing in the community and recreation opportunities in the Gateway Hilltowns,” said Blandford Selectmen Eric McVey.

“Ski Blandford is a regional asset anchored in our town,” added Interim Town Administrator Joshua A. Garcia.

New snowmaking and grooming equipment will be on display for viewing, in addition to the renovated lodges. There will be BBQ lunch of free hot dogs, hamburgers, salads and drinks to anyone who has purchased a season pass or purchases one on the day of the party, and $5 for non-passholders.

Springfield Thunderbirds Mascot Boomer will be at the BBQ giving away free hockey tickets. He will also bring a bunch of fun activities for kids including an inflatable hockey shooter, cornhole and more!
