Southwick Fireman’s Association hosting 5th annual golf tournament

SOUTHWICK – The Southwick Fireman’s Association is hosting their 5th Annual golf tournament on June 2nd at Edgewood Golf Course.

Mike Dennis, the event coordinator, has enjoyed the success the tournament has had in its first four years.

“It’s been a really great time,” said Dennis. “It’s usually a great day of golf going for a great cause.”

Every year, the proceeds of the golf tournament go right back to the Southwick Fire Department. This year, the proceeds are expected to be primarily used for the purchase of a new fire truck.

The registration is at Noon on the day of the tournament and the shotgun start is at 1 p.m. Contests include closest to the pin, longest drive, hole-in-one, and more. After golf has concluded, dinner will be served at the Fox Den Restaurant and a 50/50 raffle will also be included.

According to Dennis, there are currently around 20 teams, but there is enough space for 16 more teams. It costs $380 per team and $95 per person, which covers 18 holes of golf and dinner. If someone wants to just have the dinner, that costs $25.

If anyone is interested in creating a team or playing in the tournament, contact Dennis at 413-433-6453 or email him at [email protected].
