SUV and motorcycle crash

A Montgomery man was rushed to Baystate Medical Center  following a collision on Lockhouse Road Friday afternoon.

Nathan A. Labay, 28, was treated by Westfield Fire Department paramedics at the scene of the  accident reported at 4:33 p.m. before being transported to Baystate.

The crash occurred in the intersection of Servistar Industrial Way and Lockhouse Road when a 2007 Hyundai Sonata operated by Nathaniel J. Scuderi, 21, of Feeding Hills, was traveling westbound on Servistar Industrial Way and made a u-turn in the intersection with Lockhouse Road.  Labay was operating a 2003 Suzuki motorcycle and was traveling southbound on Lockhouse Road at the time of the collision.

As of this morning, Labay was in fair condition at Baystate Medical Center.

Scuderi refused transportation to Noble Hospital but later made his way to  the Noble Hospital Emergency Room where he was treated and released.

The accident remains under investigation by the Westfield Police Department Traffic Bureau.
