Tammy Lynn Willey-Vyce

Russell – Tammy Lynn Willey-Vyce, 45, (1973 – 2018) passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 18, 2018. Tammy was the daughter of Donald A. and Sharon (Fisk) Willey of Russell, MA. She was born on July 18, 1973 in Springfield, MA and was a lifelong resident of Russell.

Tammy was a graduate of Gateway Regional High School and continued on with a career in medical assisting. She worked in this field for the last ten years at Noble Primary Care in Westfield, MA. Tammy was passionate about her career, patients and co-workers. Tammy was known for her love of family and friends. Her infectious laugh always put a smile on your face. Even if you didn’t know her, she was your friend by the end of her stay. Tammy was a dedicated mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt. She loved ferociously and was very passionate about anything she held close to her heart.

Tammy is survived by her mother, Sharon (Fisk) Willey, the two most important people in her life, her son Tyler Willey-Vyce, and grandson Tyler Willey, Jr. “Mucka” along with her sister, Stacy (Willey) Boisseau and husband Joseph, niece Jordan Cooper and nephew Hunter Boisseau, all of Russell, MA. Tammy also leaves behind two grandmothers, Dorothy A. Fisk of Russell and Beverly J. Sainio of Kentucky, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and dear friends, all whom she loved unconditionally. In addition, she leaves her longtime partner, Antoine Gayle of Springfield, MA.  Tammy was predeceased by her father, Donald A. Willey, Jr. who passed away in 2014.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at the Russell VFW, Route 20, Russell, MA from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Tammy’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 264 Cottage Street, Springfield, MA 01104. O’Brien Hilltown Funeral Home in Huntington is handling the arrangements.
