Thomas A. Trottier

WESTFIELD – Thomas A. Trottier, 74, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in North Adams, MA to the late Francis and Anna (Hansen) Trottier.
He attended St Joseph’s School. He enlisted and became a corpsman in the US Navy. He worked as machinist for Micro Abrasives, and retired after 32 years. He was Co-owner of T&T Cleaning Services Westfield, MA. He was a Scoutmaster for Troop 108 in Westfield, MA. He loved life and was an avid Outdoorsman. He always had a great story to tell.
He was a loving Husband, Father and Grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife, Therese (MacTavish) Trottier of nearly 49 years. He leaves his son, Todd M. Trottier and his wife Heidi (Emmonds) Trottier of Westfield. Also, his son, Troy A. Trottier and his wife Manuela (Durschmidt) Trottier of San Jose, CA. The lights in his eyes are his three grandsons; Jeremy Trottier, David and Kevin Trottier. He leaves behind very close family friends Patricia & Jim Culp and their children. He will be sadly missed by his brother, Francis X. Trottier and his wife Lucia Trottier of Roseville, CA. Tom leaves his many nieces and nephews, Sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law. He also leaves his nephew, and special friend, Mark R. Quinton from Greeley, CO. He was predeceased by his four sisters; Edith Quinton, Nancy Greenlaw, Joan Lincoln & Rosemarie Formhals. He will be sorely missed.
The funeral for Tom will be held on Tuesday, August 7th at 9:00 a.m. from the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in Southview Cemetery in North Adams, MA. Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 6th at the funeral home from 4:00-7:00 p.m.
