WESTFIELD – Thomas M. Broderick, 65, of Westfield, passed away on December 9th, 2025. Born on February 16th, 1960, to Raymond Broderick and Rita (Viamari) Broderick, Tom lived a life rooted in community, generosity, and an easy wit that made him the life of every gathering. Married for 38 years to the love of his life, Gina (Santucci) Broderick, he took immense pride in his family, finding his greatest joy in their accomplishments. He was especially proud of watching his grandkids grow and cherished every moment he spent with them. Tom earned degrees from the University of Massachusetts and Springfield Technical Community College and dedicated his career to the Westfield G & E. During his 34 years there, he served as a Utility Supervisor before retiring and later returning as a Project Manager in the WCF division.
His happiest moments were spent outdoors and traveling with family and friends—fishing in Northern New Hampshire, summers at the cherry farms in Traverse City, vacations to Maine, the Cape, and Florida, countless ski trips, and the races in Saratoga. His memorable trip to Scotland with his golf buddies was an adventure he often reminisced about, calling it the “trip of a lifetime.” He was an avid golfer, a devoted fan of the Boston Bruins and Pittsburgh Steelers, and a UMass lacrosse enthusiast. His passion for cooking and entertaining filled his home with warmth, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Besides his beloved wife Gina, Tom leaves his son Michael Broderick and his partner Tyler Foote; his daughter Shannon (Broderick) Bannish and her husband Christopher Bannish; and his grandchildren Cameron and Evie. He is also survived by his brother Raymond Broderick and his wife Tina Broderick; his sister Theresa (Broderick) Hathaway and her husband William Hathaway, and many cherished nieces and nephews. Tom was predeceased by his two sisters Mary Theresa Broderick and Linda A. Scribner.
