WESTFIELD – 
Thomas William Scahill, age 71, died February 7th, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. Tom is survived by his wife, Karen (Smith), of Westfield; his children, Thomas Scahill (Tiana) of Oxford, MA, Meaghan, Ryan, and Courtney Scahill of Westfield, MA, and Kaitlin Cote (Timothy) of West Springfield, MA; his granddaughters, Siobhan and Shaina Cote, and Hannah Sullivan; and his sister Mary Scahill, and brothers James and Patrick (Jane). He is preceded in death by his father and mother, James and Catherine (Fenton).
Thomas was born on November 18th, 1948 in Springfield, MA. He graduated from WNEC in Springfield with a degree in Accounting. He worked as a manager at MassMutual for many years. Tom was a communicant of Our Lady of Blessed Sacrament in Westfield and was an active member of Cursillo. He was a man of many names.
Tommy loved his wife Karen. Dad was proud of his five children. Poppy adored his granddaughters and was their biggest fan. Big Tom loved coaching sports when his children were younger. Tom loved God, church, and family. He enjoyed sports, game shows, his dog Moca, playing cards, and was an avid reader.
Visiting hours will be Thursday, February 13th from 4 to 7 pm at Curran-Jones Funeral Home, 109 Main St., West Springfield. His funeral mass will be at Our Lady of Blessed Sacrament in Westfield at 11 a.m. Friday February 14th. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Our Lady of Blessed Sacrament in Westfield.
