WESTFIELD – In other games Saturday, seventh-seeded Westfield (11-8-3) fell to No. 3 Minnechaug (12-5-4), 2-0, in a Western Massachusetts Division I girls’ soccer semifinal at Westfield State University.
Minnechaug moves on to face No. 5 Pittsfield (13-1-3), which upset top-seeded East Longmeadow 2-1 in overtime. The two teams will square off Monday at Westfield State University at 3:30 p.m.
In boys’ D3 action, No. 2 Hopkins (16-1-3) shut out third-seeded Westfield Voc-Tech (13-5), 6-0, at Amherst-Pelham Regional High School.
Hopkins moves on to face No. 4 Smith Academy (15-4-2), which upset No. 1 Lenox. The Division III final will be played Monday at Westfield State University at 1:15 p.m.
