WESTFIELD – Timothy J. Parker, 57, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 21, 2013. He was a lifelong Westfield resident, born on January 31, 1955, a son of the late Roy F. and Eileen (Fitzpatrick) Parker.
He attended local schools and received BA and MA Degrees in Marketing from Beloit College, Beloit, Wisconsin. Timothy retired from Western Massachusetts Hospital in Westfield after twenty six years of service and received numerous service awards, including the Outstanding Massachusetts Public Service Employee Award that he received from the Governor at the State House in Boston. Timothy was an avid walker and thoroughly enjoyed spending time in the city and walking to his mother’s grave in Pine Hill Cemetery daily.
He is survived by three brothers, Michael of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, Daniel of Forestdale, MA, David of Aromas, CA; three sisters, Elizabeth Dupre of Palmer, MA, Andrea Noonan of Springfield, MA, and Caroline Zimkiewicz of Southwick, MA. He also leaves seven nephews, Jeremy Michael Parker, Craig Theodore Roy Parker, Daniel Parker, Carlos Parker, David Parker, Michael Vella, Marc Zimkiewicz and eight nieces, Valerie Karen Parker, Melodie Parker, Amy, Amanda, Megan, Roxanne Crussana, Alexandria Noonan, and Amber and his stepmother; Lucille Parker of Allentown, PA. Timothy also leaves many friends from work and a lifetime of living in Westfield, including his Health Care Proxy and friend from Western Mass Hospital, Sherry Ferrier, and Bobby Andrews, a friend from childhood.
Funeral services are Saturday, January 26th at 1:00 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 60 Broad Street, Westfield. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The Legacy Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Please visit www.legacy-funeralhome.com.
