WESTFIELD: Timothy John Puffer, 75, died Saturday, May 30, 2015 in Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Springfield on January 27, 1940 to the late John and Helen (Murray) Puffer. He grew up in Westfield and Blandford. He was graduate of Springfield Trade School. He served in the Seabee’s in the U.S. Navy from 1958-1962. Tim and his wife owned and operated the Dutchman’s Restaurant for 14 years. He worked for Connecticut General in management and formerly retired in 1995. He owned and operated many apartment complexes including Taylor Ave Apartments. Tim was an enthusiast for life in the outdoors and loved camping and fishing. He was constantly on the move and was a jack of all trades “handyman”. He was a wise man with a great sense of humor,and a teacher of life lessons and proverbs. He leaves his wife of 54 years Rosita L. (VandeLaar) Puffer and his daughter Kimberly Puffer of Westfield. He was predeceased by his son Timothy Puffer Jr. in 2006. He also leaves his grandchildren Serena Rose Nicolle, Katie and Michael Puffer all of Westfield, his brother Sanford B. Puffer and his sister Elizabeth J. Cole both of Deland, FL., his cousin Richard and Sandy Puffer and their children Charlene Benoit and Eddie Puffer and many nieces and nephews. The services are private.
